Solved Desktop PC SSD in use queries

Your comments on a couple of things relating to new desktop PC HP S01-PF201 SSD would be appreciated:

- compared with retired old HP HHD when power button pressed light/power was immediate, whereas with this SSD there is a three second delay before light/power comes on. Does this indicate a problem, or something peculiar to SSD PC? Help from HP was, ask where you bought it from, retailer said didn’t know.

- use power external HHDs for documents, photos etc., rather than on PC, or the Cloud. Instead of unplugging the ethernet cable each time to be isolated from internet, I found I can disable/enable ethernet in Network Connections. Can this be detrimental when used regularly?

I doubt it's anything to be concerned about, I suspect that's the BIOS starting up and initializing before it turns on the power LED.
