disable the pin login on windows

Hi, Got another computer and have the same problem which I have forgotten how to do. Basically I don't want to keep typing in a pin to enter windows, I know there is a remedy for this. so hopefully some kind soul will enlighten me.

Thanks for you link, but unfortunately I don't see anything like that ? Must be thick as you know what.lol I don't see any of the options for disabling the pin. Thanks BTW .

I typed in netplwiz with admin rights and failed to see anything about the pin?

So would have enter a pin or does it boot straight into windows, which is usable ?

You don't.

A PIN and password for an account are two separate sign-in options.

It's just that netplwiz requires you to enter your account's password instead of PIN. Netplwiz will then use this password to sign in to your account automatically at startup.

Your account should already have a password since it's required to add a PIN.

Troubles is that I can't find it or remember is there anyway round this? or do I forever have to keep typing in my pin

It depends on if this is for a local account or Microsoft account (email address).

If local account, you can reset your password below using another administrator account (ex: built-in Administrator) on the computer.

If Microsoft account, then it's the same password you use for your email address. If you don't remember, then you can use option 5 or 6 below to reset the password.

I always use a local account, because it was annoying to leave the account logged in, due to the fact that it always asks for one of the two factors, PIN or password, even putting autologin it returns to leave the pin. no option to remove completely. I preferred to leave the local account and log in only to the applications.
