I have a dual boot of Windows and Linux Mint. I want to install Haselo for backup of Windows.

Since Hasleo has the option of booting directly into Windows, instead of its own software after the Bios runs, I don’t think there will be a problem with the dual boot. But does anyone know of anything I should be aware of?

The first thing you should be aware of is compatibilty. Use backup software to create a recovery USB. Make sure that it actually will boot and is usable, does it support secure boot, bitlocker, wifi, keyboard and mouse or trackpad? It doesn't support my 2025 Asus laptops trackpad or keyboard but neither does Macruim because of missing drivers. They both work if I use USB keyboard and mouse. I also dual boot for linux (Zorin 18.1). I use Rescuezilla which comes highly recommended as a free backup tool. It only does full or partion backups. It's linux based but has a GUI interface and can backup and restore both windows and linux partions. What I especially like is it's completely USB based, doesn't depend on windows or it drivers to boot. It does it backups and restores from the same USB program. You know it's going to work when restore time comes because the backup works. It also includes a rescue enviornment with wifi, browser, disks, files, terminal and multi-terminal support.

I use your exact config (W10/Mint) with Hasleo installed with no issues at all. If you're doing DISK Images and are including your Mint partition (wont be included if doing SYSTEM images), that partition will image forensically... mainly 'cause Hasleo knows not about EXT<n> file structures. If your disk is an SSD and CRON is being used periodically to TRIM your Mint partition (I think that's happening periodically by DEFAULT), the image will be a reasonable size due to the SSD cleaning up after TRIM operations.

Mine works very well...

I'm not sure what your above statement means. If you don't have HASLEO installed into your System's BOOT menu (an option in HASLEO), your System will BOOT as it does now. If you add HASLEO to your BOOT menu, Windows will offer you that option when you BOOT up... the DEFAULT will be Windows if you make no additional selection at that time.

The DEFAULT menu offering time, I believe, is 30-sec... this can be adjusted by using MSCONFIG under the RUN command. I have the menu popup for about 2-sec just in case I want to use Hasleo for some sort of restore. If your disk dies, this feature will not be available so make sure you make an external Emergency Disk UFD for image restoration, if needed.
