OS
10/11 dual boot
It's been a full blown saga to get to this point. If you want to follow, just look for my other post. I got a lot of good help there, but that was for installing, this is a different situation, sort of. I mean it all flows together doesn't it? But here is where I am, I have managed to get a dual boot between 10 & 11, sort of. I can boot one or I can boot the other. If I boot into 10, I can boot 10 all day long, but when I restart it boots right back into 10.

If I F12,, and boot into recovery, then I choose "Use another operating system". Then I can boot 11. I don't know if it's just not giving me the bootloader, or what. Both OS's work great, once I do get it loaded. I'm attaching a pic of my partition layout, and my EasyBCD layout. Any suggestions that would get this thing going correctly would be appreciated.

10 Version 20H2 Build 19042.1110
11 Version unknown at the moment, would have to boot into 11. Downloaded a week ago from UUdump, it was the most recent version that day.

If you install Easybcd, you can adjust the waiting time for choosing which system you want. I set mine at 10 seconds, and if I do nothing, it loads the system I have set as default.

I have EasyBCD installed, and I have even set it up. But I still don't see the boot manager.

One of the F keys (it varies from hardware to hardware but mine is F11) will open the boot menu. From there, select the boot drive that you want to boot up.
The boot menu looks like this..

That is entirely different.

Robbyk wants to see the windows boot menu and select either os from there.

From his easybcd picture it looks like the live bcd store has both entries, but the bootmenu is not displaying.

at admin cmd prompt:

bcdedit /set {bootmgr} displaybootmenu yes

Is the official bcd command specified by MS

Exactly. I am just telling him how to do it the boot menu way because he asked.

F12 one time menu is not suitable here because his win10 and win11 are on the same disk.

He just needs to tell bootmgr to display the menu

It wont work via F12 one time menu because his win10 and win11 are on the same disk
If it is UEFI, it may be possible by selecting boot manager instead of selecting boot drive. Otherwise, you are correct.

Can you not go into Control Panel>System>Advanced System Settings>Startup & Recovery> TIme to display list of operating Systems and set the timeout to 20-30 seconds ?

Tried that, and at the moment even have it set to "Wait for user input". Still skips right over it.

No Windows Boot Manager?
If none, do this steps:
1. Boot to any Windows 10 bootable media. (Macrium Rescue disk will do)
2. Open an Command Prompt. In Windows 10 Install media, that will be Shift + F10.
3. Type slmgr /fixboot and press Enter.
4. And, type slmgr /fixmbr and press Enter.
5. reboot and type bcdedit and post here the results.
