Dual boot Windows problem

Hello everyone!

I have a strange situation...
On my laptop which i use for mostly automotive related stuff, i need "also" Windows 7 32 bit.

So i have Windows 10 64 bit as my main and mostly used one.
And i have now made the laptop dual boot (on 1 harddisk!) with also Windows 7 32 bit.

BUT... in my Windows 7 32 bit, i have now the directory's ProgramFiles and ProgramFiles x86!
And both of the directory's are being used.. I have no idea why Windows 7 setup has made both directories...
And i have installed some softwares, and when i boot the Windows 7, i get now a lot of errors that drivers etc are for 64 bit..
And the drivers for that tools are all for programs which been installed in the ProgramFiles directory...

Is there anyway that i can get rid of the ProgramFiles directory, so it will only use the x86, and use my Windows 7 like it should be???

That is quite normal for 64-bit versions of Windows, both folders appear when Windows 64-bit version is installed, 64-bit programs go in Program Files and 32-bit programs go in Program Files (x86). If the 32-bit version of Windows is installed it should show only the Program Files folder.

Windows 11 is not available as 32-bit but still does the folders as Windows 10 and earlier do.

Don't know why your 32-bit Windows 7 shows both, shouldn't. In Windows 7 go to Control Panel, System and it will show if you have 32-bit or 64-bit. Mine shows as 64-bit. Yeah, I have older usable computers, Windows XP, 7, 8.1 along with 10 and 11, just do not have a 32-bit version.
