OS
Windows 11 Pro
I'm going to install Windows 11 on my second system (SSD) and would like to install Windows 10 (HDD) for backword compatablity.
My aim is to remove the HDD and install Windows 11 on the SSD, Vice versa for Windows 10.

When booting i can use F7 to select which drive to boot from.
Reason for doing it this way is to keep both operating systems seperate from each other.

Will there be problems with the bootloader doing it this way?

If you have secure boot and virtualization based security (VBS), you may get into problems from time to time when one system is updated first. Other than that, this setup will work.

If one system is updated and you get into boot problem in the other system, then you disable secure boot and update the other system as well and enable secure boot again.

If you do not have secure boot and VBS, then you face no problems.

Hope this info is helpful.

Make sure to remove the HDD and install Windows 11 on the SSD, Vice versa for Windows 10 so thee two installations are independent.
