"Denihome page (www.msn.com)but there are functions that are not working. Like the Cmd Prompt does not accept entry. Some apps work and others don't. Snipping snips but does not keep snipped items"
I have no idea what you mean here.

Denis
Admin user acct. that was working well no longer does. I lost powershell. Cmd prompt does not take command, snipping tool snips but does not keep snipped items(which usually is in Download folder or desktop) and that's why I cannot keep screenshot of the mail to send, some desk apps disappeared and of the remaining ones, some work and others don't (camera, what's up, calculator, etc do not respond)

Guys, chill. He said he cannot take a screen shot in admin because it is hiding it or whatever. He did show one screenshot from the non admin account that shows Windows Mail. Also realize he is probably using mailto: links that open the default mail app, which was somehow set to the Outlook program in the admin account. So, please, relax, and try to help him, not take him as being argumentative.

What is apparently happening is that the admin account, for whatever reason, is running Outlook instead of Mail, and it has changed since he was using the admin account from Windows 10. I suspect either the following, or else a popup to use Outlook instead of Windows Mail came up and was mistakenly clicked on.

@coolnewyorker - I suspect that the admin account you're using is, in fact, the hidden Administrator account that you could enable in Windows 10, but in Windows 11 may, in fact, break usability of apps like Windows Mail because such apps are installed from the Microsoft Store, which may not work correctly in that account.

If you could run netplwiz (just type it in the start search, when in your Std account), and take a screenshot of that, and send it to me, I'll hide the account names so that they won't be posted live and post it here for you so we can ascertain what is going on. Otherwise, in the admin account, simply type Mail in start and it will open the same program, if the admin account can access it.

Matter of fact, mail in Admin just went missing. So I typed mail in search to get it. All these malfunctionings , I think , are consequent to uninstalling MS 365 to get rid of nag screens.

More proof that you were using 2 different programs in the two accounts - Outlook in Admin account and Windows Mail in Std account.

I know that what you see makes it seem like we're wrong, but please, trust us - we know the difference between Windows Mail, Outlook.exe and the website outlook.com. I use all 3 daily. Many others use at least 2 of the three daily as well.

As soon as you uninstalled Microsoft Office, it removed the Outlook program - the only Outlook program that you had - off that computer.

For more than a decade (or maybe ever), I used ONLY OUTLOOK, the free version. I have not used, and do not want to use, any other. Now, I ended up deleting my Admin user account. And recreated another Admin user acct. Fresh, it looks normal, of course different from the Std user which I have personalized extensively. But it is , so far, working very well. The newly recreated Admin user acct came out with a mail (I did not install it) that is absolutely identical to my mail in Std user in W11 and both users in the 19-month old W10 PC . In short I have now 4 identical mails, and they are all free OUTLOOK, the only one I ever used. Please do not insist on telling me that my 4 mails are not OUTLOOK. Free OUTLOOK is the only mail I know. I think the one in the deleted Admin user was either a MS mail or a new OUTLOOK, and I did not like it at all. (Btw, I saw only a blue envelope. I understand the other mail is white?). Also, so far I am all set. no prob.
What does the "multi" next to "quote" do?

If they look like the screenshot you posted earlier then they are all Mail not Outlook. Look through your Start menu for its icon & see what its name it. Run Task mgr and see what it calls it.
If they don't then post a screenshot or photo.

All the best,

I know they are all outlook, free version and I never downloaded any. They just are there with the OS. I just reset W11 because the Admin user is still not fully well. And the mail that came with reinstallation is the same mail in all users. Right now, have four mails...all the familiar Outlook I have been using for years. Before, there was only one outlookI think OUTLOOK now has different looks depending on the version, free or not, or even manner of installation.

This has been my mail for the longest. I did not download this. The background is personalization. But I know it is Outlook. Now I have four identical mails, including the background. Outlook was only one version and it was free. Now, Outlook has different versions...free and paid for. I never paid..
Oh, please red-pencil my mail addresses. I am clueless how to do it.

I told you two ways of checking. Please use at least one of them.

Please stop using the wrong terms for things. This thread would otherwise have consisted of a single reply followed by a post from you saying how nice it was that the answer was that simple.
