Hi,

How can one make it as G Chrome (on demand vs. auto start on reboot and wakeup) and it's customizations?

I believe there is a tutorial by @TairikuOkami ?

Now they I have a full backup I can play with W11. :wink:

Hi, How do I start to customize Edge browser. e.g stopping auto start, adblocker.....similar to Chrome or Brave. Like @Fabler2 , showed in one attachment. Looks nice too... Brave is my default browser. Thanks.

2. Extensions.
3. Widgets.
4. Bookmarks. Can they be synced with chrome?

Go to Start > Settings .

2. Select Accounts > Sign-in options.

3. Turn off Automatically save my restartable apps when I sign out and restart them when I sign in.

Also open edge settings and go through the system and performance settings.

Have you disabled “Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed”?

How To Stop Google Chrome From Running in the Background for Good

I never let Chrome run in the background, ever. Chrome has a habit of running in the background even after explicitly closing it. The main reason is that

You can also try a real restart, run CMD as admin and copy/paste to see, if it still starts afterwards.

Try this also in case things have changed in Edge and windows 11 startup.

Very carefully! Or, I should say, very recklessly!
It's a process that breaks things in the Windows System! NOT recommended!

I still have Edge on my Laptop, it's just hidden.
