Solved Edifier queries/config?

The Dragonfly (or my DAC) isn't going to do much other than provide a cleaner signal over a non-DAC, so perhaps its cleared up some noise that may have masked itself as dirty bass.

Here i like the treble fix.......

This is going to come down to budget and what features you're willing to pay for. My sub setup came in at $350 bucks. The other thing you need to consider is compatibility / and connection options with the current pair of speakers you have. My suggestion is the visit the Edifier site and see what they offer than go from there.

After this Nelly song the volume presets go back to blank..... any ways to keep them?

I think you have to Save the preset. Is that on VLC?

I save it but when I play another it displays as blank.....any clues to permanently set at a custom preset?

Not a recommendation, more of an opinion..., if I had $2500.00 to toss around, I'd be buyin top of the line stuff!

No issue expert...…
At least found a temp fix till I get a DAC.:)
VLC is my default media player both on laptop and phone.
Now I feel am getting the best, till now Edifier output......

This is my setup and it cost me $2400... Teac UD-503 DAC (includes a remote) ($900) Audioengine A5+ powered speaker ($399) Audioengine S8 sub (under the desk) $350, Sennheiser HD700 headphones ($750). Mind you most of my gear is 7-8 years old now, but still going strong :)

I can't recommend equipment I've never used or read up on. I think you need to do the research and decide if it's worth spending money on. Sorry.

If you provide a couple of pieces of equipment I may be able to provide commentary then, but you need to figure out what you're looking at before I can comment.

If you're looking to spend thousands on audio gear, I suggest getting away from Edifier.

Their stuff looks like a good value, but not audiophile gear. Maybe a discrete amp (or even a receiver, if you have the space), passive speakers, and a subwoofer.

Unfortunately, there's a lot to learn about that before making a purchase. It can be a hobby unto itself. If you buy a system based on a single recommendation, you'll like the system you buy after that one.
