Solved Edifier queries/config?


The lowest knob for line or BT and Volume, keeps moving to the max, doesn't stop.

Have the rear Bass at mid......is that fine?

Hi @Edwin , another question.

1. Why doesn't my phone pair with the speakers via. BT. When BT on phone is turned on, it displays the laptop name gets paired but no audio from the speakers, despite it not being used. Should I turn off the laptop and then try?

2. They only get connected when the wire I plugged in from laptop to phone headphones jack and audio output is the Edifier speakers using the 2 +1 laptop connecting cable.

You have to pair your phone directly to the speakers via BT, BUT, the Edifier's will only connect to one device at a time, so, you have to unpair the laptop first! Bummer but that's the way they are!

This I knew, that only one BT device can be connected, and unpairing the laptop would help.
Had a thought that probably turning off may help unpair it too. But no.
Only manual unpairing can help connect phone or any other device to connect.
Is manual unpairing, pairing fine or could mess things?
Since Edifier speakers are for laptop only.

Just get another 3.5mm to RCA cable, use PC IN for Laptop, use AUX IN for phone.
That'll be the easiest.

BTW after our last Edifier config discussion took out $2.5K from Bank, as you said you spent $1.5K, to get DAC, headphones, MX3, MX keys, custom wood table etc.

I've never bought a desk that was less than 20" (0.5m) deep, like this one. That doesn't mean that it can't be usable. I see that it has a keyboard tray.

Just FYI, but that DacMagic 200M will outperform that Dragonfly by miles, and is much more feature rich, thus part of the price. And I'm familiar with the Dragonfly cause I was going to get one as a portable device, but it would not have replaced my main DAC connected to my desktop.

I'm not dismissing what Edwin has, (I was going to get one, still may for a portable device), I'm simply pointing out like everything Hi-Fi, there are DACs, and then there are DACs. It just depends on what you're looking for and how much you're willing to spend.
