That may be required.

I Googled, and every result for: verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services
...was this.
- Click on Start and type ‘Edit Group Policy’ and press Enter.
- Navigate to Group Policy Object Editor > Local Computer Policy.
- In the console tree, navigate to Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > User Rights Assignment.
- In the details pane, double-click Log on as a service.
- Click Add User or Group.
- Add the account to the list of accounts that have the Log on as a service right.
- Once you have selected the user, click OK.
- Click OK to close the policy editor.
LOL... I'm glad I'm on Windows 10 and 11 Home.

Ok.. I ran it from the download folder.. no issues.. I ran it directly from the C drive.. no issues. Then I ran it from my external drive.. no issues.

I would go into Event Viewer>Windows Logs>Application and look for any errors before the error you posted and you may find an original error that leads to or causes the one you posted. I would also look at this page (for a different application but same problem) and look first at the procedure at the very bottom of the page as it could be a simple problem with the Windows Installer Service.

Yep, yep. That was the only other thing I saw when i googled. (problem with the Installer Service)
Make sure that the Windows Installer service is started and enabled:
- Click on Start and type ‘Services.msc’ and press ENTER.
- Right-click the Windows Installer service, and then click Properties.
- If the Startup type box is set to Disabled, change it to Automatic.
- Click OK to close the Properties window.
- Right-click the Windows Installer service, and then click Start.

Have you tried installing another program to see if the issue is only for Macrium? Have you a third party 'optimising' program running and check your AV settings?
