ERROR opening : Windows Defender Firewall

Via the Windows 10 Update page, I recently ( 7 Oct ? ) upgraded from WIN 10 -HOme ( with no known issues ) to Windows 11 ...
I thought all was fine that evening..
Upon reboot the next day. Windows 11 alerted, notified me about issue with Windows defender firewall, which I still see
shortly after each re boot. I had been comfortable about troubleshooting Windows (98se, XP, 7, 10 ) issues but Windows 11 is completely foreign to me , I have scoured the internet for solution but have not yet scored.
So, here I am ... bended knee.. I am not even sure how to describe issue.. so I have attached some screen snippets.

fwiw : None of the provided "Recovery Options" are attractive solution to me ,
from experience. "reinstalling " that same file and expecting different result ... has been disappointing..
note I cannot locate the Original WIN 10 Installation Disk, so going back could be problematic.

Try resetting Windows Security.
Open Terminal (Admin) and in PowerShell copy and paste,

Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.SecHealthUI -AllUsers | Reset-AppxPackage

Close Terminal and reboot. Check it's worked.

I cannot open "Terminal" ( with or w/o ADMIN level)

update, I did discover how to "repair" the TERMINAL app. - which appeared to be successfu;.
I did copy paste in Powershell.. as directed
.. I did see a V.quick unreadable something in the powershell window,,,
So, I do NOT know what was the action taken?
AFter reBoot, unfortunately, "NO change " in DEfender Firewall symptoms as orig. reported.

Try running Microsoft SecurityHealthSetup.exe

Microsoft Update Catalog

It’s been known to fix Defender issues, if that’s what this is of course.

Sometimes the upgrade fails miserably, you can try a repair upgrade rather than trying to fix all issues one by one.

What link to what fix? Cant you just post directly?
Do you mean an in-place upgrade? It's a standard repair process for Windows.

Are you trying to fix Microsoft Defender or reinstall Windows on an unsupported system?

If you're referring to the appraiserres.dll fix, no, it no longer works as is. Not with 24H2

If Reinstalling/Upgrading:

You're better of using Rufus to create the install USB

Release Rufus 4.6 BETA · pbatard/rufus

Add a new setup.exe wrapper to bypass Windows 11 24H2 in-place upgrade restrictions (#2568) Add TimeZone to regional options replication (#2499) Set local account passwords to not expire by default...

It's kind of confusing because your posting about two different things.

If you want to install Windows 24H2, there are a few choices. This is my proffered way to install on an unsupported machine. There are other ways:

Ive posted suggested fixes for both questions.
Not sure why you're having trouble with the fix suggested for Defender or the unsupported install of 24H2.
