Says no WI-FI but i have INTERNET wi-fi connection on phone also where do i see if connected to my desktop
will connect on phone then 2 min later disconnects?

If you live in a two story building, the router is strong enough to broadcast a strong wifi signal throughout.

Please give me the make/model of the extender and I will see if I can see something in the instructions. You did use your computer to access the settings in the extender by its ip address to set it up, didn't you???.

I'm sorry. I can't tell you that. Each device is different. The instructions included with the device usually give you step by step instructions. You have to use your browser on your PC to access the device by an ip address. This gets you into the setting menu of the device. I would have to be hands-on to be able to help you.

Also, I told you in your last thread that using an extender will cut your internet speed in half. If you get this to work, you need to be aware that your internet speed to your wifi devices is going to drop drastically. To extend the range of your existing wifi and not have any drop in speed is to use an access point if at all possible. This is what I have done and it works great without me having to buy new equipment

Another option, and it's the best there is, is to replace your existing router with a mesh network. However, this is much more costly.

Do you know anyone where you live that is knowledgeable about computers and networking who can help you? Where do you live T2T?
