- Windows XP,11 Linux Fedora Rawhide pre-release 45
Hi folks
For those that want to try Fedora's rel 43 without doing it the roundabout way (i.e install rel 42 and then do the upgrade) you can install it directly now
fedoramagazine.org
Try it as a VM if you don't want to test it as a physical system (but in any case it installs easily to external devices if you don't want to touch your main Windows system).
These days also the boot manager won't destroy Windows boot manager either - hint though if installing on the same device as a Windows 11 system create a 2nd EFI partition for the Linux boot loader. When booting the Linux system you'll also see the option to boot Windows.
It blows Ubuntu away (I don't like Canonical and their philosophy either). Fedora comes from Red Hat now owned by IBM - both companies with excellent Software pedigree and great support for ongoing developers.
Very efficient -- easily runs Windows 11 VM's under KVM/QEMU Virtualisation - like HYPER-V is Type 1 virtualisation.
Latest Win 11 (Canary build) as a VM on it -- ZERO problems !!!).

Cheers
