Microsoft Windows 11 Home (x64) Version 22H2 (OS Build 22621.819)
Microsoft Windows 11 Home (x64) Build 22000.258

For some reason File Explorer always opens up now on the right bottom corner of the screen.
In Windows 10 it could be done with "Ctrl+close window" and the next time File Explorer opened up in the same size and position as I closed it. Is there another way in Windows 11 or is it a glitch? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your help.

I haven't been in properties (what properties would that be - explorer.exe ?). But I had a shortcut pinned to the taskbar and I opened it from there. After a couple times of deleting the shortcut and pinning to the taskbar I got File Explorer to open in the size and position how I want it. I wonder how long it will last this time.

yes the shortcut to explorer.exe right click and select properties and check if it is running normal window, minimised or maximised. Any problems accessing the properties, create a new shortcut. you could also try holding the shift key while resizing explorer and then shift and close it. then check if that has helped

Thanks for the reply again.
I think I know now what the problem was. After a couple of tries it showed up, when I move the window to the top of the screen it also maximizes the window to the bottom of the screen (or vice versa) and this position it doesn't remember.

If you open explorer to a full screen window, then close it. It will always open to a full screen window again.
