File explorer limitations - Please Fix Ms

Browsing a file list from local apache webserver from files on a NAS I get a proper full listing with Firefox web browser

File explorer chops loads into 8.3 format with random letters etc -- BONKERS. Surely with large mega TB storage drives now one needs to be able to display long file and path names.

You can disable 8.3 format and enable long paths, maybe they will resolve the problem.

I have attached two batch scripts.
