Not sure if this is the way to go try it at your own risk, it worked for me.
In regedit go to:
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ExplorerPatcher
and change OSBuild version to 10.0.22000.348

Yeh, stopped working here to after update to .348

Had a look for above suggestion but couldn't find any reference to build number in any of the registry keys?

Uninstalled/re-installed several times ... no luck.

After last uninstall, checked above registry (again) and the keys were still there. Deleted ExplorerPatcher and all sub-keys. Re-booted, re-installed ..... Bingo. Up and running.

Now all I have to do is remember what I did for the next time MS tries to (re)enforce it's preferences on users.

@idgat @GreyThorne All back working. This appears to be a problem every time there is an update from MS. I think the best thing to do is to live with for a couple of days until the new symbol files are published and Valinet brings out the new version of EP, he is very quick as soon as they are published. I have since found out that the "fix" I posted does not work for everyone, but in the majority of cases. Depending on which features of EP you need, Winaero Tweaker is a good alterative for just the taskbar ( and a tweak to get the icons back ) all you loose is the right click for the Win11 menu, a word of warning it can cause problems if used with EP so either uninstall EP first and if you go back to it turn off Winaero first. I hope that makes sense and was helpful.
