Hello all.

I have an old folder that's been haunting me across two computers. I keep deleting it (it's empty btw), yet it keeps reappearing. I have OneDrive deactivated on both computers, so I don't know where it's coming from, and at this point I really don't care. I just want it gone.

I've read about changing the folder permissions, but I've seen a few differing methods employed. So, before I start messing around with that, I'd like to get some advice from some knowledgeable people.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks.

It would help to people to diagnose the cause of this to know the name of the folder, ( assuming that the folder is always the same or otherwise identifiable)

Sorry, I should have been clearer. It's late and I'm sleepy.

It's an old folder that I created a around two years ago on my previous laptop to store different media files. I stopped using it a few months later then deleted it.

Again, I suspect OneDrive is involved bit I don't know how since it is turned off on both computers.

Also, as I mentioned earlier, the folder is empty.

Please help. Thanks

If you suspect it's onedrive, login to onedrive on the web. If it's there, delete it. Microsoft OneDrive
As barman stated, it would help if we could see this folder and its properties in your directory tree. Browse to the folder, right click on it, select properties, select security tab.
Make a screenshot of your entire screen and post it.

I've checked in my OneDrive account, but I didn't see that folder.

When the folder reappears, I'll take some screenshots.

Also if the folder comes back, while in properties of the folder, click on security tab. Click on advanced. Make note of the OWNER of the folder (2nd line from the top).
