Right. Regardless of how much more it may cost than a pre-built.

(All of my desktops since 1997 have been home built. I don't do it to save money.)

Not everyone has the skillset to build their own, Robot. My two daughters are an example. Daughter #1 is expert in troubleshooting, but uses a laptop. Daughter #2 says, just fix it so I can use it, Mama.

When 11 was released on 5th October it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update.

Problem for me is that Macs hate me! Which is fortunate because I would never let myself buy such an expensive computer when PCs are just as good, and better for me.

When I decided to upgrade from my Tandy computer that had a 286 CPU using Deskmate I went by the selection of software and hardware the computer stores had. There was way more software and hardware available for a Windows computer. I wanted a computer that to me had a better chance of not becoming obsolete like my Atari and Tandy computers. I'm still happy I went for the Packard Bell with a 386 CPU and Windows 3.1 for workgroup.

Not if they are like my wife. She never looks at her notifications. If something pops up on her screen she she will either ask me what should she do or tell me to get that off my screen. Her MS games are good for that.
