Frequently BSOD with no memory dump file

After these proccess the sound of the laptop is getting "metalized" and "slow-motion" when playing video...
That's because you're running Driver Verifier with settings which most wouldn't recommend, although, Driver Verifier can be quite taxing on a system in general.

Unfortunately, none of your latest dump files have been saved so it would be difficult to ascertain why those drivers failed against Driver Verifier. It's important to check in this situation because of the settings you're running with are known to cause false positives.

Caution This option is not intended for use when you are verifying all (or a large collection of) drivers on a computer. This option should be used only when you are doing targeted testing of individual drivers or their attached filter drivers. Using this option on a large number of drivers at the same time could cause unpredictable results, and could force crashes in components unrelated to the driver(s) you are testing.
Source: Systematic Low Resources Simulation - Windows drivers

Caution Do not use this option on a driver unless you have detailed knowledge of the operation of the driver and have verified that the driver is designed to handle STATUS_PENDING return values from all of its calls to IoCallDriver. Running this option on a driver that is not designed to handle STATUS_PENDING from all calls can result in crashes, memory corruptions, and unusual system behavior that can be difficult to debug or correct.
Source:
I wouldn't run Driver Verifier on any drivers prefixed with dump_ since these are responsible for writing the dump files to your disk in the event of a crash.

In that view, you’ll find some drivers with names like dump_diskdump.sys, dump_dumpfve.sys, and dump_storahci.sys. The Verified Signer column says “An error occurred while reading or writing to a file,” these drivers have no description, no company name, and their reported path points to nonexistent files like C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\dump_diskdump.sys. What are these things? Does the computer have a virus?

These are virtual drivers that are used for creating crash dumps.¹

This is only my advice, take it or leave it as you will.

Ordinarily only mini dumps are viewed for WDV bugchecks.

The BSOD BugCheck C9, {7, fffff801007923a0, ffffad07eff109a0, 0} mini dump only implicated xusb22.sys.

The BSOD BugCheck C9, {7, fffff801007923a0, ffffad07eff109a0, 0} memory dump call stack implicated HarmanFilter.sys
That Minidump is the same as the MEMORY.DMP file which I looked at and that is not how you analyse it...you've just done !thread + dps <limit> <base> and then looked for any drivers which had symbol errors because they typically point out third-party drivers. You've completely disregarded the entire dump file to suit your narrative.

The crash is due to I/O Verification being enabled:

  • Passes of an IRP to IoCompleteRequest that contains invalid status or that still has a cancel routine set
Source:
Code:
DRIVER_VERIFIER_IOMANAGER_VIOLATION (c9)
The IO manager has caught a misbehaving driver.
Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000007, IRP passed to IoCompleteRequest still has cancel routine set
Arg2: fffff801007923a0, the cancel routine pointer
Arg3: ffffad07eff109a0, the IRP
Arg4: 0000000000000000

Here's the pointer to the cancellation routine which is still set on the IRP which is being passed to IoCompleteRequest:

Code:
0: kd> dt nt!_IRP -y CancelRoutine ffffad07eff109a0
   +0x068 CancelRoutine : 0xfffff801`007923a0 void xusb22!WaitAndUnfilteredRequestCancelRoutine+0

Notice that it belongs to xusb22.sys? You can also run ln with the second parameter:

Code:
0: kd> ln fffff801007923a0

I only had time to do some test in the weekend.

Here is what happened:
  1. The laptop freezed once without BSOD.
  2. The same events id 41 and 161 were identified.
  3. V2 log file here.
I`m almost formating the laptop with a clean Windows install, because I`m using the Dell Windows image.

The collected logs reported a new BSOD.

1) Turn off WDV

2) Uninstall Kaspersky AV during the troubleshooting and use only Microsoft defender.

(See post #6, #12, #14, and #16)

3) Comment into this thread when Kaspersky AV has been uninstalled using the applicable uninstall tool

4) Perform Windows and defender updates

5) Create a new restore point

6) For any new unexpected shutdown and restart with or without BSOD post a new V2 share link

7) If you clean install make sure that you do not install Kaspersky or any other non-Microsoft AV.

I removed the remnants of Kasperky with a own removal tool, created a restore point and followed the instructions post #6.

The same situation described on post #24 happened.

V2 log file here.

I just had a BSOD.

After the event of the post #26, I restarted the laptop and was using normally (by that for what I understood, the WDV was not running), and had the following BSOD:

1714455289112.jpeg

The dump files were created and the event viewer registered the log:

Event id 41: The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

When I was about to execute the V2 log collector I had another BSOD:

1714455485306.jpeg

This one got stucked and didn't created the dump files.

The event id 41 was registered again.

But this time I managed to execute the V2 log collector, here.

Today I'll create a bootable USB to do a fresh Windows 11 install. I think I lost any hope of get this laptop/Windows fixed.

How often is the laptop connected to an external monitor?

For any new BSOD after the clean install (please use English as the default language) post a new V2 share link into the newest post.
