From Firefox to Brave

Have other users found issue with the amount of RAM that Firefox captures? See my Task Manager jpg. I switched to Brave recently because my laptop only has 4GB of system memory, and Brave is only loading about half of that of Firefox. Both apps are the current versions. [EDIT: Oops, I should have posted this in the Browsers group! Sorry!]

I alternate between both of these browsers, they are both very good in my opinion.

I have noticed that Firefox uses more RAM, but it has never been an issue for me.

Chromium browsers are more optimized, Firefox stands alone.
You could try a lighter Firefox based alternative like LibreWolf.

I truly can't believe that you are able to run 11 with any efficiency at all with only 4 gb ram. Most of the machines I've seen using 8gb get bogged down often.

I guess I can run w/ just 4GB as I don't use it for the heavy lifting except for occasional simple GIMP work. If I need to really work I use my desktop. Otherwise, this little Spectre 360 7-year-old runs pretty well, especially since I swapped out the tiny 128GB SSD for a 480GB SSD.
