Solved Searching from Firefox brings up Google CAPTCHA as of today

I just dumped the message log from my router and there are literally hundreds of these entries staring from first thing this morning:

View attachment 136705

No idea how I might get rid of those, but maybe it is the root of my problem. I just don't know where they are coming from.
Nah. F/W 1.11 - Syslog: connect() failed path:/var/run/mdnsd Socket:26 Err:-1
In short, it's just some debugging info from mdnsResponder that is leaked into the syslog.

I would make an image of my Windows partition, then try a clean install to see if the issue persists. If it turns out that it does, at least you'll know that your installation of Windows isn't kaput. If it turns out that the issue is gone, I would restore from image and try to repair install Windows with an in-place upgrade.

Things to try:

- Run FFox in Troubleshooting mode.
- See if the same problem occurs when you go direct to google as a URL i.e. not searching from the address bar
- Try removing FFox and reinstalling it "bare". Clean out any Program Files >Mozilla Firefox folders before reinstall. Make a copy of your old profile in another folder for safekeeping, then blow away the old AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox folder too. Your profile is in C:\Users\YOU\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles .

I got it working! It took a refresh of Firefox and a repair install, but all is well now. (I think)

Thanks for all of the suggestions everyone. :-)
