Not a garden gnome

The gnome has an important, lighthousekeeping job. The lighthouse provides a reliable beacon for cars driving on the driveway at night.

The lighthousekeeper used to have a shiny tip of the nose, polished by a small boy, every time he and his mom walked by.

Only a little back garden but the wife is the gardener not me. The pond is mine. The victorian bird bath is wrought iron and this is my third repair and respray as my wife knocked it off the garden table. Fish in the pond now in their early 30s !!!

Do you think a buddha in the garden promotes a feeling of peace? Ours does.

Yeah, I think so, although there are many, many ways to perceive the Buddha, obviously.

I designed the garden around the central 'Eternal Meditation' theme, see post #4 and the 'No Time Sundial' in the lower right of post #9, a sundial that shows no time.

It's from my own imagination. I shuffle things around, the Wood Nymph is now elsewhere, see post #15

I'm tidying up the garden in time for new growth starting. It doesn't seem to be long after Christmas/New Year that things start to sprout. I'm not sure if I should cut this type of bulb plant down to the ground for new growth to start or whether to leave it alone. Advice would be appreciated.

I had to grin looking at your photo, my garden is still snowed under like in post #15.

Others may chime in on your question, I garden only with dwarf conifers and weeds

Edit: I used the word 'weeds' to denote those unwanted growth in gardens all around the world. I did not use the word 'weeds' to denote stuff that makes you happy for a little while but is not good for you in the long run
