Today, I see that Google has added Gemini AI to Gmail. It's very good at finding emails with outstanding deliveries. I'm still playing with it.

But you can only use it if you have a Google Workspace subscription.
Gemini AI is not available for GMail customers who have a free GMail account.
Which I very well can understand...

I pay £15.99 a year for 100GB of extra storage. This seems to give access to Google Workspace too. Good value and the space is shared with my wife.

In NL it's € 19,99 for 100GB, my son has that. That is very fair, but I don't need it.

And at my age I want as few subscriptions as possible. It's this that only costs ... and that that only costs ..., but if you don't care you have to pay a lot of money yearly from a small pension.

So I have no MS365 subscriptions as well. Nor do I have any other software subscriptions.
But I suppose I personally don't need AI at all. Have done all my life without, why bother about that now? ;-)

I see Gemini has also been added to Drive.

But you can only use it if you have a Google Workspace subscription.

That is the point. I am using a free Gmail account and could not find the Gemini AI.

I’ve been testing out Gemini for Workspace features recently. It’s great for things like summarizing emails and working directly in Docs or Gmail, but you're right, you need a Business or Enterprise plan to use it. On the other hand, I came across GPT Workspace, which doesn’t require a Google Workspace subscription to get started. Plus, it has a super handy Chrome extension for using AI tools on any website. I came across this comparison, and it helped me figure things out. Both are solid, but it depends on what works best for your setup.
