Hasleo Backup Suite

Winre.wim has wireless support and is updated on your system. Best to use winre.wim as the base wherever possible

Seems to be a problem with winre.wim 26100.7618 network wont start. I will stick with 26100.7447

stuck there forever and wired doesnt work

Thank you all for your explanations, but I have one additional question: What is this feature for? When I make a backup and everything is fine, or if the backup fails, I don't understand how a screenshot would help me. Maybe it's for sending to technical support?

It's simply a record of the error if restore or backup fails. If it's an error on the drive you're restoring to then you can even use the rescue flash drive to save the screenshot to. It's simply an aid to troubleshoot a problem and helps other to try and diagnose the issue.
You would only use it if things go belly up and need help.

It shows up outside of Windows. When you initiate a restore of an image then it shows after a reboot and the loading of Hasleo for example.

Your rescue flash drive is up to date?

Edit, your image shows you backing up in Windows so it doesn't show as you can create your own screen shot.

For those of you who might be interested, I am one of those who refused to upgrade to Macrium X, having used Macrium for years, because it became subscription-based. I was looking for an alternative for which I could get a lifetime license with free upgrades. In October 2025, Hasleo released their Hasleo Backup Suite Pro, and I purchased a license for my two computers the day it was released, based on comments about his software in this Forum, and other Forums that I frequent.

I have done some testing, comparing the performance of Macrium Reflect 8, Easeus Todo Backup Home, and Hasleo Backup Suite Pro (HBSP). In my latest round of testing, HBSP outperformed both products on my hardware configuration. My post in the Hasleo Forums can be found here:
Imaging Performance Testing: MR8, ETBH, HBSP

I have to say that I am incredibly impressed by HBSP, and the support offered by the company. The Forum Admin is a staff member. No questions, criticisms, or feedback are ignored.

If you are looking for a great imaging program, the Hasleo Backup Suite (free) or the paid Pro version are worth a look, in my opinion.

I paid for my license, so I have no monetary or any other "interest" in this post. I am simply a very satisfied customer, active in the Hasleo Forums, and wanted to share this information with other ElevenForum members.

@z3r010 , if I have bent or broken any Forum Rules, please accept my apologies and delete this post. Thank you.

Have a great day.

Regards,
Phil

Image size and time is insignificant between Macrium free and Hasleo paid for my needs. If I had not just started using Macrium in the past couple of years I might have gone with Hasleo but the consensus in this forum at the time was that Macrium was king. And I still use Acronis 2017 on my older PC and Ive been using Acronis since ver 11.8 in 2007. If I decide that Macrium 8 wont work for me I'll look at Hasleo one time purchase rather than get a subscription. The time and size between Acronis and Macruim are also comparable. I forgot which one but the one with the larger image size was faster but they were close. Also it depends if they both backup the pagefile or not and skip temp files or not etc.

I really don't get all wrapped up in worrying about differences in backup image sizes unless they're really significant. The difference between an image that's 60GB or 70GB is a flea on an elephant to me. The same applies to the absolute speed, if there's a 20% difference between two products, it's not an earth shattering event.

My litmus test is does the backup make reliable verified copies and can I easily restore them when needed!

Hi,

I have 2 same make miniPCs and I made a backup with Hasleo. The first computer was setup with a lot of customization so I wanted to copy the backup to the 2nd computer's second hard drive and restore it to the 2nd computer using my USB recovery stick using the Universal Restore option.

Am I misunderstanding that function?

Thanks!

I actually have no idea but I’m a little bored, so guessing it is…

I think you are misunderstanding.

The 2 machines are unique despite "same make mini PCs". You presumably would have no activation issue if you had restored an image of the second PC onto the second PC. Instead, you restored an image of the first PC onto the second. I don't use Hasleo, but I'd expect an image file would include all licensing and activation info and would require no input by you at all to be activated, provided the image was restored to the source PC, rather than to the destination PC as you have done.

I'd just have let the image sit on the second PC as a file in an unrestored state. If the source PC has a drive failure, replace the drive and restore the image from the second PC to the first. You may have complicated things by storing the image on a second PC, rather than on an external drive or even on a second drive within the source PC...if there is such a thing on a mini PC.

Unless I misunderstand your situation.

Digital licence is linked to an unique hardware ID. Just like 2 people with the same name and birthdate, have a different social security number. But you should be able to reactivate licence since MS knows, which PC is which, it just got confused.

I didn't want to confuse things here, but I also have another PC that is my main PC. Yesterday I set it up, made a copy of the backup, and restored it to the "first" PC I mentioned above. The restore activated just fine. Everything worked.

That "first" PC was then customized again to remove some stuff that I didn't want from my main PC, and add stuff for it's actual purpose. It was a lot of work, so like what I wrote in the above post, I tried to do another backup from that PC and this time it didn't activate.

Like I said, this second time I attempted to use backup from another PC did not work (activate) and it that case the 2 PCs were the same make and model.

So basically, the "Universal Restore" option worked from one PC to another, but not the second time I tried it. Prior to me re-setting up my Windows, all 3 PCs had/have their own digital (machine based) license. I have done this before, and if you restore from another computer's image, Windows matches the new install with the license for that hardware from it's server. This happened on one try, but not the other.

Thanks for the replies

[RESOLVED, from first reported in post 733]

So I tried again. the first computer is a Minisforum with an AMD CPU and drivers. I made sure all of the drivers were up to date. I made a Hesleo backup and copied it to my NAS. On computer #2, I copied the backup from the NAS to a local drive. Computer #2 and #3 are Intel. The restore went perfect as before. There were some leftover AMD drivers that were not supposed to be there on an Intel chip PC, so I used a program I never knew about before, DriverStore Explorer. It is awesome and detected any obsolete drives and allowed it to delete them.

I had a backup of the Intel drivers so any that were missing were easily restored. With everything working I made another backup, copied it to my NAS, then on PC #3 I copied it to a local drive. The restore, using Hasleo Universal Restore worked this time. PC#3 showed Activated.

I don't know what part made the difference, but Hasleo works perfect and as intended. I was stumped as to why the backup would restore to one computer, but not another identical computer. I asked for help and thank those who replied. I still don't know what made the difference, but it all works as I wanted and Hasleo Backup is GREAT!

Thanks again!

As long as you understand that any universal-type restore may wind up with activation/registration issues. The companies that hardware stamp their activation/registration information use different fingerprinting techniques. Even with identical Systems, the fingerprint may include some component serial #s... which, of course, are different from one "identical" system to another.

Always be ready for these "issues:... (make sure you have all your registration/activation codes squirreled away just in case).
