It takes me a minute 30 seconds to do a full restore. Macrium Reflect 8.1.
And I don't have to reinstall everything.

Well, let me think about that. My system and my data are on separate drives. Make an image of my system drive...4 minutes. Restore that image 7 minutes. MCT and clean restore....takes me days to get everything back the way I like it and I'm on the verge of a nervous breakdown by the time I'm done.
Which one will I choose?

I just went to pause updates today (after updating first) and noticed that I can pause them for up to 5214 weeks now (100 years). 😮 Anyone else get this? I did read that Microsoft was allowing the prevention of updates soon, so is this the new thing that stops updates?

I have not heard anything to that effect, and it would be very unlike Microsoft to expose something like this in a really obvious way because getting lots of people not updating can allow machines to become infected and then in turn infect other people with their unpatched systems.

That said, I am aware of a registry entry that will allow updates to be paused for up to 20 years. The details can be found in this tutorial:

I would be curious to know if something you installed is allowing the updates to be skipped for that long a period of time. Maybe someone else more knowledgeable than me on this topic will know what may have done this.

I've read it's one of several new changes coming in the newer, kinder, gentler Windows they are implementing. I don't have that option on my machines yet though.

I just checked all three of my machines and I don't even have the 5 week option you have, only the pause one week unless I do the reg hack. It's supposed to be changing to an unlimited pause capability though.
