I just need to add a file to my windows 11 iso, how can i do this with free software or is there another way?

The file is just a xml to debloat windows. It needs to be a ISO.

Humm, I wonder if you could mount the ISO then copy the file to it and unmount? I added one to a USB install media for hacking Win 11 to run on old hardware. Worth a try to a backup copy of the ISO.

You can edit an iso with the free version of anyburn.

I have an iso file based on win PE that i wish to make uefi / mbr / both bootable on a win 11 64 bit machine. How can i achieve this? Is there a step by step guide that i could use. I want to have a bootable iso file at the end of the task. I do understan

pretty easy it is basically

click EDIT iimage file
browse to the iso
click ADD
browse to the file you want to add
make sure you can see it has been added in the anyburn window
click next
click Save

You don't need to. Windows setup will look for any autounattend file so you could put it on a USB drive and run setup from a second partition or external drive.

You can mount an iso and add files easily enough. The slightly tricky part is creating a new iso that needs some adk files.

That's not true. If your PC has network access during installation, autounattend.xml can remotely download scripts to update the system. One example is installing Chocolatey by using a single PowerShell command.

The advantage of unattended files is you can READ what's in there, or ask someone else about it.

Yes but you can look and see if there is a url in there.
