I'm trying to set up a Windows 11 Kiosk, however CTRL+ALT+DEL will still work. With Group Policy, I know how to disable functions WITHIN this lock screen, but I want to disable the lock screen. I don't want any of my kiosks to be able to access this screen, period.

No, I don't want access to the Task Manager via CTRL+ALT+DEL for my administrator, I actually have an AutoHotKey script which can trigger the Command Prompt as Administrator, so as long as we know our command prompt run names, we're fine.

This assumes the user has not logged in, yet and can choose the username to login to or type it in. Wrong screen. My kiosk is set to auto login, so this isn't an issue.

This also has nothing to do with my question.

Assuming you're logged in. You decide to lock your PC, bring up the Taskbar or switch users, to name a few examples. To do this, you first press CTRL+ALT+DEL, then select the appropriate action.

I want to remove this CTRL+ALT+DEL functionality. If my kiosk isn't configured correctly, users can shut it down, access the Task Manager to end the Kiosk software task, thus have access to Windows, or turn the PC off. Even if I go through and disable all of these options through Group Policy, some idiot user could just go through and press CTRL+ALT+DEL and leave the station on the lock screen, making it unusable to someone who has zero computer skills and can't figure out how to press ESC to get out of it.

This registry edit should disable ALL Windows shortcut keys...

By the way this is NOT how you disable "just" the Windows key.

To disable just the Windows key...

To disable just the Windows key...

I forgot about that RegEdit, and probably for good reason. The Kiosk Browser we're going with, requires a shortcut to access the password box to get to the Kiosk settings. That said, killing off the use of all Keyboard shortcuts would not work for us. If there was a way to add exceptions, that would possibly be an ideal situation, then. Even when I was attempting to use the built-in Kiosk feature for Windows 11, I'd written an AutoHotKey script to kill off access to a bunch of shortcuts, I'd programmed in it a shortcut to suspend the script, whenever necessary, so disabling the use of all shortcuts for that environment also would not've been conducive.

Unfortunately to disable CTRL+ALT+DEL, I would probably have to test the method to disable all shortcut keys, as disabling Windows key keyboard shortcuts would probably do nothing in my situation.

Are you setting up the computer as a Kiosk? How to set up Kiosk mode on Windows 11
Yes I am. I've likely seen that link. My upper IT staff is telling me Windows Updates break Kiosk settings so we decided to go with OpenKiosk. I've experimented with the built-in Windows 11 Kiosk with MS Edge. There are too many holes in it, for my taste. For instance, if I remember correctly, one can still access the Open and Print windows (CTRL+O and CTRL+P, respectively).

Ctrl+Alt+Delete works, but it just boots back into kiosk mode. Why is this a problem?
