Solved how do i bypass login for main acct on the pc

currently i set the built in admin acct to login without typing in pass. but main acct needs to type it in...i already went thru steps with netplwiz...

(you did set your account as an administrator, right?)
Just to verify, when you say "i set the built in admin acct to login without typing in pass" did you create an account and name it "administrator" OR did you use the command net user administrator /active:yes
It makes a difference.

If you used the above command, log into your account and disable the hidden administrator account.
using command prompt as admin type net user administrator /active:no
Then netplwiz will work.

If you CREATED an account and named it named "administrator". Login in to it and create a password. Then you can set netplwiz using your account.

With help from ultimate windows tweaker...that's how I was able to create built in admin account. I created the second account just in case the main one becomes corrupted. Never can be too careful.

A built in Admin account isn’t the same as an Administrator user account.

In Windows 11, an administrator account is a user account that has full control over the operating system and its resources. A built-in administrator account, on the other hand, is a special default administrator account that's always present on a Windows system, and cannot be deleted. It's designed for system setup and disaster recovery and is typically disabled for security reasons. It isn’t a permanently visible user until it’s temporarily invoked.

I'll look more into that. I even tried doing netplwiz on main account but still have to input the pass. The issue isn't resolved yet...I'll just leave this wide open

In netplwiz, are you using your username or the account email (login)
I find using the account email address and password works better.
Also, undo and redo the steps about 3 times. I find that necessary sometimes to give it a kick.

Don’t forget to read the red and yellow boxes in the tutorial.
