Mayhap I'm a Luddite and dumbing down the Action Center to the point of uselessness is a brilliant move, but Is there a way to get the "All Settings" back in the Windows 11 AC?

And YES, I KNOW I can go all the way to the other side and right click, but I'm curious what significant productivity upgrade was associated with taking it away from the Action Center?

Yes, Berton, as I said, I CAN go all the way over there and open a context menu, BUT WHY? It WORKED as it was. WHY did they change stuff that worked, to make it LESS workable, just for the sake of CHANGING stuff? WHO were they IMPROVING the UI for?

SAME exact thing with the right click on the taskbar to get the Task Manager - same EXACT question... WHO does this "go all the way to the start button and bring up a context menu" IMPROVE the UI for?

Change that's MORE productive is good. Change just for the sake of change or to "make the <whatever> more trendy" is stupid. This smells a lot like Vista and Windows 8 all over again.

I'm not sure where SHK is, but I'm sure if you keep at it eventually you'll get a diploma.

STILL the same questions... In what way did making changes just for the sake of saying you changed something IMPROVE the UI?

How many million people had 5+ years of using a system that worked "this" way, and worked reasonably well, to have it uprooted is a dozen small, niggling way, for no apparent improvement.

And I'm not sure what "Win10 left click Start + left click Settings =" means, but in my world it was "click action center button - Settings"

In any case, it is what it is, but it would be nice to hear a rationale for WHY they would make some of the changes they did...

SHK is a very expensive school called the School of Hard Knocks, lots of people learn there but unfortunately many more don't.

What the 1 click + 1 click means is that it takes 2 clicks to get to the same place whether on Win10 or Win11.

All Settings is still in the action centre, and is invoked as in Windows 10.
Like @Brink posted above, do exactly as you would in Windows 10: Open Action Centre, then click settings.

Is there a way to get the "All Settings" back in the Windows 11 AC?
Sorry, I don't follow. It's the same in 11 as 10, one click to open Action Center, a second click to open All Settings.

UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to lid hinges starting to break up this laptop has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven in 'Other systems' to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.

I've now clean installed 25H2 and used Garlin's scripts to update Secure Boot to CA 2023 and revoke the PCA 2011 certificates. It's new role is to test secure boot issues.

    Info for 2021-2026:
fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.

@GracieAllen If you want 11 to be like 10, there are a couple of good apps to this I use ExplorerPatcher.
MS think that what they are doing is better for users ( remains to be seen )
Win 10 quick actions did have a lot more options, some I miss

IMO, pretty sure we will not get an answer to that question, especially on here from Microsoft.

This particular subject has been asked about, chatted about, critiqued from one end to another, a bit like flogging a dead horse.

Hopefully when hell freezes over, Microsoft may justify their decisions on their software to us all.
