I download an iso file of windows 11 or windows 10 and i want to know which build and what windows iso file is without need to uncompress or mount this iso file anywhere.

Is there a way to do that?

Without mount or uncompress the iso file.
And i want to know the build of windows 10 or windows 11 it is the iso file.

You need to Mount it.
I don't know of any way to see the version without doing that.


Another option would be to just download the version you want, from... UUP Dump

How would you expect to achive your directive without some effort in the process? The tutorial Ghot posted is the process.

Alternatively, download ISO’s via Brinks download tutorial and note the Version & Build.

For instance, on this page, you will see the two options for downloading a Windows ISO. Underneath each option you will see that the ISO version & Build is listed.
Download and rename appropriately.

http://os.click has copies of the official ISO builds, but not the MCT versions which tend to be newer. Basically it duplicates what Rufus does when you ask it to download an ISO.

UUP dump allows you to pick a specific build, because it downloads a early base ISO and layers on the appropriate KB's to bring up the build version.

That's what garlin is saying... DISM is often wrong. Your download is from May, 2025, so it should show as being 4061 or 4066. Yours is saying 2033.

This question is answered wrong on almost all tech sites (including ElevenForum and TenForum).

The problem is you need a tool or script to read the correct version. And no, DISM++ doesn't do it right. UUP dump avoids the entire issue by renaming the ISO file to include the full build version (since their script built the image for you).
