How To Disable OneDrive Personal Vault Permanently

OneDrive was doing too many things without asking. Now I use MEGA.NZ, works fine with no mystery.
Mega.nz 100%, admittedly I only use the FREE version, but it's quick when you use it.

I don't sync my files to Onedrive but do use Personal Vault on the web. Personal Vault is the only thing I like about Onedrive. It's an extra layer of protection for my most sensitive documents that I do not want to keep on my computer. If you use Onedrive for syncing your files, I'm curious what your reasoning is for removing Personal Vault.

Thanks for pointing out about mega, I signed up for a free account a long time ago when they still offered 50 GB of free storage so it looks like I'll start using my account on a regular basis. Also, I have 100 GB of storage with google drive so overall I'm in good shape.

Is there any reliable method to actually disable the one drive personal vault as I've never put any files into it.
Davy49, I know your message is regarding 'disabling' personal vault, I, along with most others, haven't found any way to do that. I did realize though that if you right click the personal vault icon, select properties (if not visible select show more options and select properties), then under 'Attributes:" select the box saying Hidden. So far, this has removed the icon from my OneDrive folder and is no longer bothering me. Let me know if this helps.
