First. is the reality I have to deal with now, that I need to remember which Browser I need to use in order to see particular sites? So now I need to think about creating a database associating sites with browsers???????

This is the Internet. These are browsers. Shouldn't any browser be able to bring up any legit URL? Doesn't this striike anyone as insane?

There is no attachment and please provide the unmodified version of the log file(s). You've probably deleted parts of the original file so I would suggest that you create a new one using the same instructions as before, but place the log file(s) into a .zip folder and then upload this .zip folder to a file sharing site such as WeTransfer. Afterwards, you will need to post the WeTransfer link which would have been created in your next post.

Please be more courteous and have some morsel of patience, you haven't attached anything and you literally starting "bumping" the thread after a few hours of supposedly posting the file.

I will do so tomorrow. I was just amazed at how long the original 2000K file took (over 15 minutes). I can wait forever if I know there will be some indication it worked. Will I get some sort of notification that the file has been attached?

Right now there are things going on with HowToGeek.com.

I contacted my isp yesterday and they were very interested in the problem (have seen this sort of thing happen only ONCE before. They were having very interesting ping responses.

I sent them (screenshot) updates. I suspect they are mucking about with my signal.

I'm not going to do the HTTP logging for now. (phew: dopn't know how to harness "an external upload service,")
