How to increase priority of Windows interface?

It's not always the same program. It's Boinc, which schedules various science projects. Sometimes things go wrong and too many things run.
Ok, so I take this is a heavy workload sometimes depending on the project being run.

Make sure it has normal priority (probably does) you can try the CPU limiter as it only kicks in when the program passes the threshold you set for CPU%.

This Boinc setup is very likely the root cause of your issue. It's not that you have a slow mouse click response, it may be that the other end is gobbling up your resources.

It automatically uses low priority. I don't wish to limit it, it's supposed to use 100% CPU. It's when it use 200% there are problems.

can you config how many threads are populated?
You only have access to 100% so anything higher is not going to do anything in performance.

Yes I configure it, it's only for when it goes nuts.
Higher than 100% screws over performance because there's 50 things trying to run in 24 threads.

Hi, I wouldn't try an raise the priority of that service, probably will not help.
But back to Processlasso, make sure you have this option unchecked in the menu options>general ="ignore problematic processes"

That should show most processes but that setting is meant so you don't have troubles depending on what rule you add to it.

Back to your issue, the better way is to lower the priority of the process you have issues with. PL will do this automatically but you can lower the priority to a static value (below normal) or even lower (idle) if needed.

Process lasso with remember all settings you make as long as you choose "always" (this is a right-click context menu option).

Anyway, badly coded programs are tough to control, there is only so much you can do externally from the user end.

If you have any questions on PL just ask I am a beta tester for it.
I uninstalled it. It wasn't doing anything, I just spotted "core engine not running" and nothing I could do would start it. "Main, start governor" did nothing. I'm not impressed.
