Solved How to make the usb ports turn off when laptop is turn off

I do not know what utilities your computer maker has put on your computer or how to use those unknown utilities.
That's why I suggested going to their website & user forum.

Somehow, I seem to remember, when I've installed motherboard drivers, there is one driver called "Charge" which I can either install, or not.
I don't know if that has any application here or not. (probably not, since that was on a desktop PC and not a Laptop)
But for me, it's kind of immaterial, because when I'm not using a PC, all power to that PC is OFF!
If I want to charge something, that would plug in to a USB port, I just plug it in to a little charging module that's plugged into my UPS. THAT remains ON all the time.

Thanks for the suggestion guys. I found this and it seems to works. Those with Acer Laptop you can refer to this method.

Unfortunately it seems to conflict with MyAsus app. Tried downloading and installing it a while ago but something breaks during the installation so gave up with it. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Is there anything in your Bios about USB power?
They might only provide that app for use on computers for which they've hidden the relevant Bios settings?

Hello Denis, nothing at all unfortunately. I've learnt to live with it now (USB 2) so I make sure nothing is connected to the port when I shutdown.

I have never had an ASUS so I am not sure if this video tutorial is on the money. But I did notice the USB setting you probably need is at the bottom of the advanced settings. That could be why it is so hard to find. It may be worth a view:
