I noticed when using the keyboard shortcut for MUTE on Zoom (ALT+A), it produces this annoying notification sound. There's no native Zoom setting to disable it. Is it possible to disable it from Windows level WITHOUT affecting the meeting sound itself?

You can control which apps you get notifications for and whether the notifications you get give a notification sound by going to settings-notifications-click the arrow out to the right of each app to choose how you want notifications handled for that particular app. Since I do not have Zoom installed I can not say if it will appear on that list of which apps you can control but it would be worth checking.

Zoom doesn't appear as one of the apps in win11 notifications though.

no it's not. that mutes the meeting sound. I only want to mute Zoom Notifications (i.e. the alert sound when I use Alt+A to mute or unmute).

it has nothing to do with chat notifications too. As mentioned, I am specifically looking at mute/unmute sound notification alert ONLY.

Only other thing I can suggest is to go to control panel-sound-sounds tab-under program events select each sound individually and click test which will play the sound for that event. When you find the sound that is irritating to you, scroll up to the top of the list and select 'none' for that event. All the windows sounds are there, but the sound you are hearing may be a Zoom sound rather than a Windows sound. If so it won't be in the Windows sound scheme.
