Solved How to reset admin password?

I forgot my admin password i have it so etched in muscle memory that when i realize what i am writing i forget it OMG and i cannot find it anywhere.

I tried restart by holding shift to safe mode and command prompt:

net user "admin username" 12345

but it throw access denied 5

Also bash net user administrator /active:yes didn't work, but without bash it ran successfuly!

after restart in safe mode/normal mode hidden admin account is not visible

I have also encrypted disk and have to write each time bitlocked code

I didn't create passphrase to reset, i thought i had it noted somewhere foodle!

Could you please help me to recover it, this method worked last time i don't know how to recover it aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Is the password for Microsoft or local user account, and you don't use bash as a command because its not Windows 11 command.

Yes for windows local admin account

it worked without bash as i said, but no hidden admin account appeared after restart in both safe or normal mode :/

I don't have kali linux... There has to be easier solution do you know why in safe mode in CMD i get access denied when i use net user "admin username" 12345 ? THis used to work, that would help me a lot thanks!

It says: access denied and i don't want to install some random stuff from internet, when it seems it won't work either!

access denied to open Computer Management? so you dont have Admin perms on your account? reboot from windows PE and use command prompt at system level. safe mode wont make a difference if your account doesnt have admin perms

I think i have to decrypt drive first and than i can use Win 11 install USB, or i won't be able to modify SAM database

Hmm with disabled drive encryption C:\Windows\System32\net user i don't see my account :/

that replaces ease of access with cmd on the logon screen.... which runs cmd as system. you couldve just done the commands from the PE screen you were at when you replaced utilman with cmd... as mentioned hours ago
