How to Restore Old Chat in Teams?

Folks, today I noticed in MS Teams that very old chats have disappeared. Everything older than 6 months is not listed anymore. If I search a keyword for one of them, I can restore the chat to my list. But I do not prefer that they disappear at all, since I do not always remember keywords to restore them. Is there a way to keep those chats visible in my list. I don't like when they disappear, since I need them occasionally. Does anyone have any thoughts?

I'm using Teams version 26005.213.4315.4117, which the app says is the latest.

There's this link. But be careful about clearing the cache; I don't know if that may delete the history of chats or not. But try the other methods suggested first. I understand that the issue presented there is that all chats have disappeared, but it could also possibly also apply to your issue:

Thank you for sharing. As I looked at it, it occurred to me that there used to be a toggle in Settings for "Suggestions for Hiding Inactive Channels." According to THIS page, the toggle was removed recently. Is there a RegEdit that can get it back? I would really like to show all of those old channels and chats.

I don't use MS Teams, so I don't know what the settings looks like, but see if there's something like this:

The feature that she discusses at the very end of the video is what I'm looking for. For some reason, I do not have that toggle in my version of Teams. I assume MS took the control away from users, which is irritating.

I see what you mean. There's nothing in the settings that shows anything similar to that, like if they changed the wording or whatever in it. A Registry tweak, like you are asking for, could possibly be the solution, if there is one. I'll try looking around to see if I can find something for you. And if anyone else that can chime in, that would be helpful for mridzon. =)

Bump.

Does anyone else know how to fix this issue with Teams?
