HP Network Printer Unresponsive

Hi,

I have a HP LaserJet Pro 400nw. I connect to it via network and I can ping it and it will reply fine. But after some time, the printer won't give a ping reply anymore. I have to restart the printer before it will give a ping reply again. Obviously, when it does not reply to the ping, it will appear offline and I cannot print.

So anyone ever experience this? Was it a printer issue? Or it is time for me to reinstall Windows 11?

When the printer shows offline in WIndows 11, does it also show to be offline to the other devices on your network? If other devices can see it but the Win11 device can't, then I would look inward to the problem being in Win 11.

If other devices can't see it either at that time, I would look outward toward it being the printer or router.

When it shows offline, try running the troubleshooter to see if it will give you any indication of what is going on.
Settings>system>troubleshoot>other trouble shooters>Printer>RUN

How is the printer connected to the Network/LAN, via Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi? Or maybe Wireless Direct? I have an HP LaserJet Pro and OfficeJet Pro connected via Ethernet cable to the Wireless Router, can print from any computer that accesses the Router, basics or full software when installed or HP Smart.

Sounds like it's going to sleep? Try giving it a static IP address.
