I am so mad at windows 11

MisterEd, I wasn't trying to change anything. Window notified me they had an update so Microsoft is who wanted to change my stuff up and I trusted them.

Silly man. :D

Most of us make backups (automatically or manually), right before patch Tuesday. ^^

Do you know which update it was that caused you problems? I've not noticed anything on my machines, but all machines are a little different. Settings and hardware and installed software can all have an impact on your total overall experience.

My first BeeLink that I bought had hardware problems. As soon as I got it, I immediately imaged the Windows 10 that as on it. Then I formatted and installed 11. Had constant green screens of death. Reinstalled half a dozen times, ran the latest drivers and just had problems. Ultimately I restored the factory Windows 10 that came on it, and it crashed regularly as well. I sent it back to Amazon, got a replacement and my new one has been flawless.

I've had extremely good luck with Windows updates. I never make backups before running updates. I just have my boxes all set to auto update and it just works for me. Obviously, not everybody has the same experience i have.

Looks like a number of responses came in while I was typing earlier.

If you still have the original SSD, just plug it in and backup the drivers as I noted earlier. Then, you can easily re-import them in a clean installation of Windows.

Also have a 2020 Mac Mini M1, which I guess would also qualify as a mini-pc. It's been a great box for everyday use.

My primary machine, is a full desktop running Windows 10. That's where I game and run all of my VM's. But having little boxes has been great for running Windows 11, Linux and Mac OS.

You need to list for 2nd system in your specs... Pile o' miniPCs.
So when I'm looking for a miniPC person, I can find one.
I DO remember that @pparks1 is associated with miniPCs, and I check your profile, but nothing "mini" is in there. :-)

Your computer just came out a few months ago so may have a few bugs in it.

Can you do a System Restore? That way you can roll the updates back to before the one that caused the problems. If not you can clone the original SSD to the new one again. Once that is done make sure System Restore is enabled.

@Marshall Moore, If you do decide to do a clean install I suggest you backup the drivers to a USB Drive first. When I did a clean install on one of my Mini Pcs I had a lot of question marks in Device Manager. Luckily the Wi-Fi was working so I was able to download them.

To everyone that has attempted to help me. I want to keep this discussion open for now. I would like to post the email I received from the manufacturer. But not yet because I haven't completed my journey. I had to email them back twice because they provided me with information that makes no sense to me.

Here is a little bit of the last email:
Dear friends,
Good afternoon, this is jack' shop;
We are sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. Due to the failure
to update the bios, the pc is damaged, which is man-made damage to the
pc; we cannot help you apply for the corresponding warranty.
If you are still interested in UM690, we can give you an extra ten
dollars discount.
Regards
MINISFORUM SERVICE
Lydia

I don't need a 10-dollar discount on something I have already paid for. ???

I sent them a question after reading this reply: "Who failed to update the BIOS?:"
I think even though I received 2 replies I am dealing with Chinese people that do not do English very well. I wonder why but this email claims to be from Lydia, the other was from Joey. Maybe it is their attempt to keep it simple. If I knew their Chinese name I more than likely could not spell, pronounce or remember it.

I haven't done it yet but I still have the original boot drive intact I intend to clone it again. This particular email response indicates my pc may need a bios update. I will look into that after I get it running again.

My original email to them was: Out of the box is the bios settings set to default? You see their answers.
