I have been to 3 mobile phone stores to ask them to tell me the size of the microSD memory but they say that they do not have the adapter for the PC and they do not want to put it in a mobile phone.

That's true but I think the price has to be over €50 or equivalent where you are. That's probably why these scammers keep the price low so they won't get zillions of refund notes.

Depends, in the U.S. depends on the bank. Most banks will give a permanent instant credit for anything $9.99 or less. Some banks like Citi will credit $75.00 permanent credit without a investigation. This is under the U.S. Federal Fair Credit Billing Act which is also known as the Truth and Lending Act Regulation Z so in the U.S., low prices will get the consumer a credit and the scammer will not even get a charge back meaning both the selling side and their banks actually keeps the money while the credit card users bank loses money as they will not investigate for lower priced transactions as disputes is a expensive process. So in the U.S. atleast, I would take the risk if it was $9.99 and under because I know I will get the money back but anything more than that and it's higher risk as all the seller has to prove is they shipped the merchandise since it is hard to prove what was shipped and what you actually received unless soneone video taped everythng from the time sent to receive. $50 maximum liability in the US is more for unauthorized/fraudulent transaction which has been changed to $0 for the credit card processing networks. And they don't investigate fraudulent transactions totalling $3,000 and under.

Here in Spain I'm looking at Wallapop (I don't know if you know it), which is a website where people sell their used products, and there are people reselling the same model of disk that I bought.

I have asked one of those people and she says that her 8Tb disk cost her 38 euros and that she sells it for 15 because it is not suitable for the Ps5. I have asked her if the disk works well and she says yes.

There are other people who resell it for 60 euros and one of them says that he gets them so cheap because his uncle knows people in China. It is a chain of scams. They are buying fake products purchased from China that look like attractive products and reselling them to other people.

Almost everyone knows it’s a scam, we warned you before you bought it that these things are a scam, we basically told you Do Not Buy These… and you went ahead and bought it anyway. What’s your point about all this? That people can be scammers? That some people wont take any advice? Yes, that’s right.
Any compassion I offered would be redundant on account that I was a part of the group who tried to warn, almost plead with you not to go ahead with a purchase.

The disk took a week to arrive from China to Spain and I paid for it using Paypal. I was able to copy a maximum of 15Gb before the drive went offline. I have tried to open it to see what is inside but it is impossible because it is designed so that you cannot see inside. There are no screws and there is only a tiny hole through which I have inserted a specialized tool to be able to pull and try to slide the contents out, but pulling hard I have not achieved anything.

I have opened a dispute on Paypal so that they do not get paid and the result is that the Chinese company demands that the product be returned to China to return the money.

Then Paypal sent me a message saying that I am the one who has to pay the return costs and I have to present a return number, indicate the name of the courier company and provide an image of a receipt. Once it is proven that the product has arrived at the manufacturer in China, that is when they would refund my money.

Paypal gives me a deadline to provide proof before paying the manufacturer in full.

I have spoken with a large courier company that is next to my house and they have told me that they ship everywhere except China due to the difficulty of customs procedures and they have told me that returning the product would be more expensive than the amount of the product.

Reading a little on the internet, people say that they returned the product at their own expense but the manufacturer did not assume that it had arrived and they lost the product, the money for the product and the return.

So the result is that the Chinese company keeps 100% of the money for a product that does not work and is surely a scam. I wouldn't be surprised to find a 16Gb MicroSd memory inside.

That is, if you buy on AliExpress from a Chinese company and the product does not work, you have to lose money. So the Chinese company sends garbage and you keep it and nobody does anything. The police do not rush into your business to check what you are selling.

I won't buy anything in China again.

and you really thought that is real? You can't get an 8TB HDD for that price, let alone an SSD. The product itself is screaming "I am a scam, please buy me"

People do generalize about China, but we don't see fake SSDs from the US, EU, UK or India flooding the market...
Things like this do put China in a bad light, especially when no one seems willing or able to stop them. Amazon even have sponsored links to the fake products

I am in the dispute on Paypal and I have told the Chinese company that I know for sure that it is a scam and that I am going to call the authorities and the company responds in a mocking tone saying that I have to return their product to China if I want to recover the money and that "they have done everything they could".

The scammers do not hide, since no one does anything they know they go unpunished and they are receiving money from all over the world in exchange for rubbish.

If many people warn you in a previous post before you make the purchase, DON”T BUY THIS! but you purchase anyway, then yes, quite simply you are to blame. Take responsibility for your own actions. Try and get past this, it is a lesson learned. Be grateful it wasn’t a car or something expensive. And believe it or not, I still feel bad for you.

Yes, despite the warnings, one still proceeds, that means they proceeded at their own risk and should assume all liabilities as this basically goes back to the ~~french~~ latin terminology used even in the us, caveat emptor. I guess we all need to just say we have a bridge to sell too as you will know there will be a taker.

This is the sleazy practice of ALL online sites now. Amazon being the worst. They pull recharging you for items you return even when you follow their return procedure perfectly and get a reciept for the return. They play musical excuses. If they tell you one thing and you prove thats a lie, they meant something else. No one helps either. Not BBB, AG, FTC, FCC....SPCA..........LOLOL Funny though, these sites dont hold themselves responsible for the products they post ans sell. I feel for you. I think the philosophy now is they sell cheap junk, so nobody should complain getting ripped off a few bucks. Online shopping is a scam
