Hi

I wanted to clone Windows 11 from HDD to SSD and I deleted all partitions from the SSD (was windows 10 with dual boot) but now the clone software Aomei display error that there is no system partition so it can not clone. So how I recover from that ? :)

I am on windows 11 now did not restart yet.

Not sure exactly why Aomei is complaining about no system partition, where is it expecting to find it?
Can you give more detailed information about the disk structures you are trying to clone? Include disk management images, Aomei display output, and/ or disk part listings, photo's will do, if it is not possible to screencap.
One thing to try if you have the option is to create an image of the HDD, preferably to an external or spare internal drive, then restore the image to the SSD, you may need to fix the boot partitions/ files/ paths, but there are guides on these forums on how to do so.

I had SSD has Windows 10 and dual boot menu to boot Win 10 and 11 now the SSD is empty only HDD has Win 11


I am thinking to try these:

1- I will try Shift + Restart to boot into recovery menu
2- If failed I will try https://neosmart.net/EasyRE/

Are you using a boot USB/ DVD to run Aomei or are you running it from inside Win11? The SSD being empty should not matter as clone was designed to move a working system from one disk to another, for example from a small disk to a new blank larger disk. As long as the HDD copy of Win11 is working then a clone or image should be possible, and if you are saying you will shift-click to restart, that sort of alludes to you being able to load Win11.

The system was on the SSD I think and Aomei Clone System drive complain for this. Aomei running from Windows 11 now.

IF you made a backup of the SSD... you can just restore it.
Then you can try your clone again.

It sounds like all the boot and system information was ON the SSD.
When you set up a dual boot... both Windows installs share the same boot/system info.
This info is only placed on one or the other... drives, not both.


IF you can get it all back to the way it was... then post a screen shot of disk management.
Then we can help you do whatever you're trying to do... properly.

It work now , after I restart I logged into Windows 11 and Aomei was able to see the system ...thanks to all

I know you got your problem fixed (congrats) but just fyi the Windows 11 version of EasyRE is actually available completely free right now, if you want to grab a copy before that promo ends. I'd post a link but I don't want to get banned. Just look at the latest post on the neosmart blog.
