Wanna know what my schedule is?
I wake up, do my shower stuff, eat, hang out on the forums, work on my model rockets, and sleep.
Maybe watch a few series episodes stored on my HDD.

That's about it. Oh, and lots of doctor appts. But they're VA, and the VA sends me and texts me... reminders, till I'm ready to kill someone. :D

I do realize that this is a seriously nit-picky thing. But it's the only boss-monster left, that I haven't been able to beat. :-)

Most of the regulars on here, spend a lot of time on the web looking for anti-MS tweaks, myself included.
This topic was created, just in case, someone stumbled over a solution, that I haven't been able to find... yet.

Something other than Explorer Patcher. :-)

As I said earlier... that's the closet I've seen yet.
It just looks too much like MS Word... to me. Not simplistic enough.

Here's a pic of the Win 11 "Quick Access" and "calendar" when the Insiders, first got Win 11 back in July 2021.
It wasn't more than a week or two before MS messed it up...

MS had the perfect calendar on the first try. Then, they turned it into a nightmare.

I want this calendar... back.
I'd even settle for the Win 10 calendar, if I could get that without using Explorer Patcher.

And I want to be able to use the tutorial to disable Notifications in post #1 to work without breaking the calendar.
The tutorial to disable Notifications does work... it just breaks the calendar at the same time.





This is what I want Microsoft to give me for Christmas.... that's the calendar I want to see when I click on the clock.
P.S. No stupid BELL icon, either. :-)

Oh... I don't "get" any notifications. There's just that fugly Notifications pane, above the calendar.
I feel quite sure that Brink's tutorial gets rid of that useless pane, but like I said... his tut also prevents the calendar from working at all.

Same for me.
Maybe I'm weird, but I have a problem with useless things cluttering up my operating system.


And even though you have notifications turned off in Settings... it's still running around checking on all kinds of things... in the background, even though it's not actually Notifying us.

If the BELL icon is on the Taskbar... Notifications is still... doing... things.



Anyway... time for some errands I have to do. Errands that I DON'T need a reminder or schedule for. :D

I don't want people to waste their time going crazy about this.
Just if you happen to see a solution on the web, etc., make sure to post it somewhere.

They'll probably have a float for you in the Thanksgiving Day parade in NYC, for a solution to this issue. :-)

I just cleaned the top of my stove, which hasn't been cleaned in 5 years.
Granted I don't use the stove top that often, but still.

Went through a can of Easy-Off, 1/2 a roll of Bounty paper towels and 8 previously used scrubby sponges, that I had saved for truly nasty cleanup jobs. :-)


But now... it looks brand new, and I'm not sure yet whether I lived through the ordeal or not. :D

Can't you just pick a calendar that's printable and save it as your wallpaper or edit a nice picture to have a small calendar in the wallpaper?
