Installing W11 base standard version as offered by the Ms creation tool so 100% totally kosher and bog standard with a 100% clean install on standard disk arrangement (not vhdx files or using dism) -- so 100% absolutely bog standard ms

I can't get any display language other than English (my copy of Windows is W11 pro GB edition so that's not an issue) -- I can download the relevant language packs but I can't alter the main Windows display language - which works OK on Canary --although bits and pieces are shown in mixed languages or on the older 22000 releases.

This is just total BS on Ms's part -- many people work in different languages - I usually have German, French, Dutch/Flemish and Icelandic in addition to English with no problem at all -- this version is totally FUBAR. I don't care about all the silliy emoticons etc --but PLEASE Ms JUST GET THE F----ING BASICS of the OS right first please - especially if this is their "Out of the door version".

I don't normally get annoyed but this is doing my brain in. I don't mind testing Beta / canary releases for myself but I'm not installing these types of thiings on basic "Mom and Pop" basic home computers where they just want to switch the thing on and start using it.

cheers

I just checked my Windows 11 Home 22621.2070 and saw that I had five languages installed, but only two were available to select. I removed and reinstalled the other three (language pack only) and then all five appeared in the menu.

Couldn't remove or re-install -- fixed another way though. I really think for essentially the "public running version" there should be basic QC -- It can't be that difficult to create a simple set of test scripts. For starters just go down the settings menu and test every one of the functions - then fix any defects, then look at windows tools, test those etc etc.
