Win 11 Pro 25H2 build 26200,7623
When I go to c: program files/windowsapps or windowsapps tmp....
You don't currently have access to this folder. Below is an admin icon button "continue". Click button:
You have been denied permission to access this folder. to gain access you will need to use the Security Tab
Security tab/advanced -- unable to display current owner
Under advanced/security tab, the only listing with full privelege is System.
Even though the security tab was unable to show the owner I tried to change it but this backfired as well or was blocked.
I am trying to uninstall leftover files and folders from installing a Razer Mouse which I later uninstalled with Revo and am not using. Revo noted at the end of the uninstall that there were leftovers that would be uninstalled on reboot but apparently that didn't happen. I want to install a new Razer mouse and therefore want to delete any leftover files. Did a search using Everything and found several folders and a few files in Program Files/WindowsApps and WindowsApps tmp.
I'm very confused. Control Panel/User Accounts shows one account:
my name
my outlook.com email address (under which I named the computer and registered the OEM windows)
Administrator
Password Protected
The security tab where I tried to change Owner has many entries. The only Admin entry is Administrators (my outlook email address). It is plural whereas the actual user/Administror is singular.
I'm the only user and I am the Administrator. Nevertheless I can't own some of the files and folders on my computer!
Would greatly appreciate some direction as to how to delete these files and folders. I'd also love to understand why and how I got into this. Is there a way to avoid it - is there something I don't understand?
Thanks very much
