Hi folks
On the latest Canary release (W11 pro) cannot add Optional features

I need Pan European Supplemental fonts, graphics tools and openssh-server.

any solution / reg settings or whatever to fix this --otherwise this release is going into the bin.

Added -- This is for NEW (clean) installation -- if you already have any optional features installed then update keeps them.

Cheers

I read quite a lot of posts around the internet. I couldn’t find one fix or a link to an standalone installer anywhere for the Pan-European Supplemental Fonts. I didn’t search for the other two mentioned.
I would imagine as this is possibly a recent occurrence that is possibly only evident in a recent release, it isn’t widely discussed as yet.

I'm on the latest Released version 23H2 Build 22631.3527 and started a test of adding that feature, looked like it was going to install but I canceled the test part way through as I had no need for it, just wanted to verify what might work.

I would advise checking the CBS log(s) or you could try add that same feature using DISM, it might at least provide you with a more useful error message.

Hi there
It's only on the latest Canary release that it's broken -- on build 22631 its fine. --While I can live without the fonts I must have the openssh-server !!!!.

Works in DEV as well --just Canary seems to have problem

Download the cab file from there:
https://uupdump.net/getfile.php?id=...anEuropeanSupplementalFonts-Package-amd64.cab

And then rename the package from 067a11e8-86e3-4aab-ad73-85a4e1114499 to cabs_Microsoft-Windows-LanguageFeatures-Fonts-PanEuropeanSupplementalFonts-Package-amd64.cab.

Make a right click on the cab file and select: Copy as path.

Afterwards install the package with Dism.

Code:
Dism /online /add-package /packagepath:Insert_here_the_copied_path

For example:

Code:
Dism /online /add-package /packagepath:"C:\Users\Public\Downloads\cabs_Microsoft-Windows-LanguageFeatures-Fonts-PanEuropeanSupplementalFonts-Package-amd64.cab"
