Installing Windows 11, version 24H2 (repair version) and Conexant Sound drivers.

Win 11 Insider Release Preview and Beta channels.
I have noticed when trying to use repair version to reinstall Windows that it will always stop at 61% and never (I mean never) advance any further. I have discovered that if I uninstall my Conexant Sound Driver (after it starts to install, not before because Update will reinstall it again), I can get it to install without any problem. I know that this sound driver problem has been around for some time and this is not the first time this has happened. Had problems installing Win 10 in those days too. Just a heads up for those who are running this driver.

I would disable the sound card in Device Manager before installing, so (hopefully) Setup won't try to install any drivers. Also I would disconnect from the internet untill the upgrade is complete.

That's even a better idea. 👍 Tnanks for that one. I'll do that when it starts to install.

I installed the repair version of the Preview build and it worked great. Now I turn on wifi and install Conexant driver and good to go.
I'll check sfc and dism files now.
