I'm sure some reviewers will kill it cause "it's not a good overclocker" ;-)

Anyway, when I do my new build next year, this will definitely be the one to go for.

The downside with these new CPUs is they require water cooling for optimum performance. Water cooling is fun at the beginning. But too much work to maintain the PC. I only water cooled once just for experience. 😁 I am back to giant air coolers.

I think it's too early to say what cooling said CPU needs. And how would you define water cooling - custom or AIO (All-In-One) closed loop system such as Corsair's H115i Pro, which I'm currently using on my i9-9900K.

Now I understand my 9900K isn't a 16-Core processor running at 5.5gig out the box, but I know many use such coolers when overclocking to those speeds. Anyway, once the processor is out in the wild and fully tested, I guess that's when we'll find out what cooling issues there are and what's the best solution.

If said processor does require extensive cooling, it may limit the amount of sales moving forward.

Air cooler will work on anything. But of course if the specs say "water cooling recommended", that means you won't be able to maximize it's power. I was looking at R9 5950X but settled with 3900X because 5950X recommends water cooling. Just me and my laziness with water cooling. 😁

I don't water cool either. I prefer air coolers. I run the Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 4 on my Ryzen 5900x.
