I know that Miracast is available in certain laptops and tablets only, however I recently replaced my wireless USB dongle with a new faster one for my main PC (see 2nd system specs). Out of curiosity I pressed the WIN+K combination to open the Cast window and my LG smart TV was detected! I tried to connect but after several seconds it failed. So is it possible to use Miracast on a desktop? What I have to add to connect successfully? I already installed the Wireless monitor optional feature.
