When I open Microsoft Store and look in the 'Library' for my PC I see 3 apps at the bottom of the list that are not installed and they have a symbol implying that they are 'inviting' you to download the apps from the cloud. The apps are AccuWeather for HP, AdBlock Plus and WiFi Analyzer. See photo. Alongside each app it shows "Purchased (date)" but I am sure that I have never purchased these apps and they are not installed on my PC nor has AdBlock Plus extension been added to my browsers.
  1. Are MS being paid to 'push' these apps? It is easy to ignore them but I find it irritating because they cannot be deleted.
  2. Is anyone else seeing these?
  3. Is it possible to stop them being shown?

Nobody is pushing anything.
It just means at one point a few years back, you or someone using your MS account installed those apps.
It might have come with your system as well. (Accuweather for HP)
Purchased does not mean you paid for them necessarily.
Because those apps are not present on your current system, they are just a reminder that you could download them.
This is a useful feature, let's say you paid a hefty sum of money for a game, you buy a new system, you can then download it again.
This is just like Steam.

As was said, at one time you had those apps installed on your present or even a past computer.

May I leave now? I don't have a Microsoft Account, or really anything to do with Microsoft, so they won't let me in to the MS Store. No biggie! Nothing there I want anyway.
Y'all have a great day now, Y'hear?

@Fabler2 - Thanks for that tip. After filtering to "Show installed products only" I now only see 6 apps. See photo. This is much more meaningful and clear.

All this time I have been seeing 'Library' apps I don't have installed. What are MS showing these for? I thought the 'Library' was only for installed stuff. Ah well, we live and learn.

I checked mine with the installed filter off and they go back to 2016. Tied to your Microsoft account I expect.

After restaring computer the list has grown from showing 6 installed apps to 11 installed apps. Weird, but I can live with that.
